The Design Phase
For larger projects, such as a kitchen remodel, a design phase is a necessary step. The design will encompass every aspect of the project, including cabinet design and materials, sink / faucet selection, appliances, lighting, countertops and tile.
AKBM will start the process by reviewing various products that can be used for the design with the customer. There are a vast number of choices in the market for the various materials that can be used within a kitchen. Each has it's advantages with respect to quality, availability, functionality and cost.
One key to creating a design which creates value is by finding those materials that meet the project requirements while offering a good value. AKBM has significant experience with major brands of kitchen products, and can explain the relative strengths / weaknesses of any particular product. In addition, we have strong relationships with various suppliers which will reduce the overall cost of material acquisition.
AKBM will create a computer-aided design of the proposed solution, after which one or more review sessions will be scheduled with the client. During these sessions, the design choices will be explained and offer an opportunity to make changes based on customer preferences.
AKBM will schedule various appointments with our suppliers for you so you can select your project materials. AKBM will accompany you on these visits so that we can provide guidance and consul during this most important activity. Based on our knowledge of your project, we will help you to select those materials that best meet your needs and provide guidance with respect to design choices.
Once the design phase has completed, AKBM will prepare the installation agreement. Upon acceptance of the installation agreement, AKBM will schedule an installation date which is convenient for the customer.
