bathroom project
AKBM is thrilled to present this bathroom project. The transformation from
the existing bathroom is really amazing, and representative of the imagination
of our customers and the capabilities of AKBM.
In the original bathroom, the shower was inside the wetroom. We changed
the floorplan to access the shower from the main bath area. We also enclosed
the bonus space above the garage and turned that into a spacious master closet
and sitting room.
Notice how beautifully the color scheme works. The soft gold tile, the traditional
dark cherry finish on the cabinets and the soft blue window coverings all
complement each other.
This is a spectacular bathroom. When remodeling is done right, it not only
adds to the everyday enjoyment of your home, but also increases the value
of your home as this project demonstrates.

Here was the original bathroom. It was very dark and dated. Through
the door was the water closet and shower. We re-designed the floor
space to incorporate the shower into the main bathroom space. |
Here's the new bathroom. We replaced the corner tub with a rectangular
unit which increased the available space for the main vanity. Notice
the beautiful window treatments. |

Here is the new shower and frameless glass enclosure. |
The floor tile is Pietre Vecchi in warm walnut. This is a porcelan
tile which emulates the look of natural travertine. |

Here is Judy's vanity and the tall linen cabinet. The cabinets are
Wellborn in a beautiful autumn spice finish. This finish is very elegant
and goes beautifully with the soft gold tones of the tile. |
Here is Mick's vanity. Notice the use of fluted pilasters on the
cabinet ends and the matching end panel which really dresses up the
cabinets. |

In the garage space we enclosed, we installed a spacious closet
system with an adjoining sitting room just off the bathroom. |
