bathroom project
AKBM is pleased to be working with Shirly and Jack to remodel their master
bathroom. The homeowners had a very old, dark bathroom that really needed
renovation. We redesigned the bathroom floorplace to improve the function
and look of the room. The finished bathroom is really spectacular.

Here is the orginal bathroom. The room was very dark due to the
brown tile. The room also seemed very cramped because of the oversized
corner tub |
The original bathroom had a single vanity which was shared by Jack
and Shirly. Notice that there was no privacy wall for the water closet. |

Here is the new bathroom. We re-designed the floor plan by incorporating
the closet space and relocated every aspect of the bathroom to improve
the overall design. |
Here is the beautiful new tiled shower with the frameless shower
enclosure. Notice the oil-rubbed bronze finishes used for the shower
faucet, clamps and header. |

Here is the new tub. We re-located the tub to adjoin the shower
which greatly increased the floor space. Notice the new exterior window
which added much needed light into the room. |
Here is the beautiful new vanity. The cabinets are Wellborn with
a honey glazed finish. Notice the fluted pilasters on each end of the
cabinet. |

Here is Jack's new vanity. Here we used a framed mirror instead
of the usual wall mounted mirror to add some interest to the design. |
Here you can see the new shower floor. We used 2x2 matching floor
tile to complement the beautiful Pietre Vecchi wall tile. |

|
Here you can see the nice tile design which sets the upper shower
tile on the diagonal demarcated by the beautiful antique bronze metal
decorative tile. Notice how the oil-rubbed bronze shower fixtures match
beautifully with everything? |
