bathroom project
AKBM is pleased to be working with Brad and Adrienne to remodel their master
bathroom. Our goal was to create a Tuscan styled "old world" design.
We are at a loss to decribe how beautiful this bathroom is. Brad and Adrienne
are thrilled with their new private retreat. The transformation from the
original bathroom is amazing. If we had to do it again, we wouldn't change
a thing.

Here is the orginal bathroom. The tub wasnt' used very much and
the shower was rather small. We will expand the size of the shower
as part of this project. |
Here's another view of the bathroom. It had matching his and her
vanities which will be replaced with beautiful antique pieces. |
| |
Here you can see the new shower. We used Italian travertine tile
with chiseled edges and a beautiful chocolate metal decorative border
tile. All finishes for the shower clamps and vanity faucets were venetian
bronze. |
Here you can see the double-slipper cast iron clawfoot tub which
we faux painted to look like antique copper. Also notice the beautiful
masonite wainscoting which was faux painted to match the vanity cabinets. |

The vanity cabinets are special order antique furniture pieces from
Sterling Designs. |
Here you can see the extensive crown moulding treatment we applied
to the ceiling and the beautiful Tuscan-styled chandelier we installed. |

Here's the water closet. You can see the raised panel wainscoting
we installed and faux painted to match the vanity cabinets. |
Take a look at the beautiful travertine tile floor. We used a chiseled
edge tile in 3 different sizes to create an "old world" effect. |
